KAHLE. KAH- LUH

A collection of responsibly hand-made wearables and non-wearables.

Founded by Mary Kahle in 2014, KAHLE as a brand has since evolved from seasonal collections into a studio practice for the designer. New styles are launched when they’re ready. Utilizing a studio full of collected scrap fabrics and trims, as well as re-purposing dead-stock fabrics and garments for the “Re-Inventory” project, each ‘collection’ consists of limited-run or one-of-a-kind items, all handmade to order in Mary’s studio located in Philadelphia, PA.

In 2020, KAHLE introduced an offering of Services including Custom Design, Patternmaking for small businesses/startups, Consulting and a Virtual Skill-Share Program.

FOR OUR COMMUNITY

As we work together towards a more just and equitable future for all - especially marginalized communities - 30% of the proceeds from items sold in the ‘ARCHIVE’ section of the E-SHOP will be donated to an organization that supports our neighbors through education, mental health access, nutrition, or social justice initiatives. The funds will be donated quarterly and details announced on our instagram.

In addition to purchasing donation-based items, I encourage willing/able members of this community to donate their time, intellect, energy and/or money to some of the amazing organizations that are out there.

Here are just a few organizations we support:

NAACP

Black In Fashion Council

Fashion for All Foundation

ACLU

The Loveland Foundation

G.L.I.T.S.

Herbal Mutual Aid Network

National Bail Out
